About TempMaily

TempMaily gives you a working email address in one click – and then forgets it. No account, no password, no long-term storage. Just a private inbox for the next hour.

Why we built it

Almost every website wants your email address. Some genuinely need it; many just want to add you to a marketing list, share your details with partners, or keep a copy that may one day leak in a data breach. Your real inbox ends up full of mail you never asked for, and your address ends up in places you'll never know about.

A disposable address is a simple fix for the many moments when you only need to receive one or two messages: a confirmation link, a one-time code, a download or a coupon. TempMaily exists to make that fast, free and private.

How it works

When you open the site, we create a random address on our mail domain, eee.best, and a long secret key that only your browser holds. Mail sent to that address is received by our own mail server, cleaned of anything active or risky, and shown in your inbox within seconds.

  • One hour, then gone. Each address lasts exactly one hour. Every message is deleted an hour after it arrives, and everything left is deleted when the address expires.
  • Private by default. Inboxes can only be opened with their secret key, so nobody can browse addresses or read your mail by guessing your address.
  • Safe to read. Scripts, forms and attachments are removed. Messages are displayed in an isolated frame, and remote images – a common way to track when you open an email – stay blocked unless you choose to load them.
  • Receive-only. TempMaily can't send email at all, so it can't be used to send spam or to impersonate anyone.
  • No recycled surprises. An address is never given to someone new until 30 days after it expires, so a stranger won't receive mail that was meant for you.

What we believe

The safest data is data that doesn't exist. We designed TempMaily to collect as little as possible and to delete it quickly: there are no user accounts, no analytics trackers, and no archives of your mail. You can read exactly what we do and don't keep in our Privacy Policy.

We also believe disposable email should be used responsibly. It's great for protecting your privacy; it is not a tool for fraud, harassment or abusing other services. Our Terms of Use explain the rules, and we act on abuse reports.
